About Team 2204

2204 Rambots is a FIRST Robotics Competition team located at the California Crosspoint Academy in the San Francisco Bay Area. They were established in 2007 in San Leandro, California, but have since moved to Hayward. The team provides an opportunity for students to pursue their interests in STEM fields by giving them opportunities to experiment in building robots, using tools and advanced machinery, practicing teamwork and collaboration, and general business skills. The team is proud of its history and eager to contribute to the advancement of STEAM education.
The 2204 Rambots' dedication to education allows students to practice real-world skills and prepare for upcoming challenges they may face. This approach has helped students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Some of the team's accolades include:
- Being a 2024 Regional Finalist (Second Place) at the 2024 Sacramento Regional
- Winning the Creativity Award at the 2023 Sacramento Regional for our flexible 3D Printed Robot Claw
- Winning the Woodie Flowers Award at the 2020 Sacramento Regional for our mentor, Gary Gin.
- Winning the Inspiration Award at the 2017 China Robotics Competition
- Former team captain, James Ding was a Dean’s List Semi-Finalist at the 2023 Sacramento Regional
