So we went shopping

During the Black Friday week, our members went to stores such as Home Depot and Harbor Freight and spent about $3,000 on new tools and equipment. We bought 5 new workbenches and lots of hand and power tools. We moved all our new items and equipment to our new maker space, Room 104. We also ordered a new 3D Printer (Bambu Lab P1S ). We would like to thank all the members, mentors, and parents who helped us buy, transport, build, and organize all of these new items. We would also like to thank Harbor Freight #638 (Fremont, CA) for giving us a generous discount.

Last weeks of training

We had our last week of training before the build season. All the subteams finished preseason training to prepare for the build season next year. The programming team went over programming swerve drive control for our robot. Electrical team went over pneumatics and motor wiring. The fabrication team was busily inventorying our upcoming makerspace. The business team was busy writing emails to local business and companies, writing grants, and planning out logistics.

Supporting the team

Our team relies on the help of supporters and parents like you. A contribution from you would not only only allow us to run for years beyond but would allow us to educate members about STEM and open new opportunities. Contribution can take many forms: monetary donations, access to machinery that we would otherwise be unable to afford or use (e.g., CNC mills, lathes, plasma cutters and band-saws), donation of materials or services, and mentorship. We are a part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which allows you to make tax-deductible contributions to our team.
